Moxie Amplification is the manufacturer of boutique hand crafted all-tube guitar amplifiers based out of Chelmsford, MA.
This Moxie Amplification Rock 15 is powered by
two EL84s and two 12AX7s in class AB push-pull configuration with an
8-ohm speaker out. It sports a full-wave rectifier for more punch. It
has 15 tube-watts of output and is equipped with Gain, Tone
and Volume controls. Currently it is available from
Moxie Amps as a 1-12 combo but will soon be available as a head.

Reliability & Durability:
This
is built like a tank. Erik from Moxie lent us this amp to use at our
booth at Guitar Con. It was on for a solid eight hrs and was bumped,
tripped over and used as a foot rest while playing. Lets just say they
hold up.
Impression:
A
warm round tone with clear highs and punchy tight attack. If felt like a
blend of the 1960's tweed Southern American and 1970's London rock tube
amp sounds that everything is compared to, but this was a unique blend
of their best qualities. I found that I didn't have to crank this amp
to dial in my sound so it would make a great studio and gigging amp.
When I am buying an amp I'm normally more critical then when buying a
guitar since I will bring one amp and up to five guitar to one show. An
amp needs to be versatile for me to even look at it; the Moxie was a
perfect fit for may different sounds and styles of play. On top of it
all the guys from Moxie amps are just a good old fashioned, family owned
and run business with good core values and pride in their products.
My advice:
If you're a VOX, Marshell, Fender, Orange, Blackstar, etc. player and you are ready for a real American Built boutique all tube amp check out these guys.
