My advice:
This product is a must have for the guitarist that drops tuning mid set. My advice is buy one for each of your Floyd Rose tremolo equipped guitars.
To start; I am not a Floyd player and the only thing that I drop is my pick after a few too many drinks, so to properly do this
review I used a buddies guitar as the donor that is equipped with a traditional stock Floyd Rose tremolo (that he uses mostly for drop d tuning). The EVH D-Tuna is a straight forward product that enables players to drop the E to D and back, in an instant -- so it all comes down to if it works. Yes, it works 100% of the time without fail.
A full month after the installation of the D-Tuna on the donor guitar, the guitarist said " The D-Tuna holds both standard and drop D tuning without any problems as long as the main D tuning was done properly prior to locking the nut. All adjustments to the D-Tuna when needed were simple and quick. Overall I am very impressed with the ingenuity and simplicity of the design." - Matt Westlake (guitarist of Floor Thirteen and Escape From Crete)
When it comes to quality products
that deliver the results specified by the manufacturer, I have always found that all FU-Tone products delivered the results they claimed. As a self-proclaimed tone chaser, FU-Tone is one of my go to companies for tone enhancing and tuning stability products. Not
only do they offer only the highest quality of products that the pros use, but
Adam Reiver (CEO and founder of FU-Tone) is a nice guy.
My advice:
