Items That Did Not Perform The Way They Where Designed To, ... (Review)

Reviewed By: Jac Harrison
As our readers know you will never see a bad review within Local Music Gear Magazine. The reason being, if we are given an item to review and it is not up to par we do not write about it. What we do is let you know what the items are so you may think about trying the item before you buy them.

Below is a list of items that we were given for review by the manufacturer of the product or reviewed by going to a local store and demoing it. All items reviewed where brand new out of the box and I was the first person to try them.

Items that did not perform the way they where designed to:

Allparts Graphite guitar nut
  • Deadened the sound
Shadow SH 330 Passive Soundhole Single Coil Pickup
  • Feedback
  • Uneven fit in the soundhole
Planet Waves Ratchet Quick-Release Guitar Capo
  • Did not hold the strings down resulting in intonation problems
Fender Mustang III 100W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp
  • Electrical problems (I was given a second to try and had the same problems)
Bugera V22 22W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp
  • Sounded cheap
  • The amp heated up and was hot to the touch
Great Divide LGM-18-G Orchestra Guitar
  • Had no tone
  • Uneven frets
Gibson Melody Maker Electric Guitar
  • Played like a $50 toy and not a Gibson
  • Frets where not filed
The opinions above are mine and based on the experience I had while trying the products; you may have better luck with these products so I suggest you try them before you buy them.
